Road to Athens widens further
Mon, 06 Oct, 2008
Passengers travelling to Athens may find their journey easier to plan after the introduction of another flight to the Greek capital.
Aegean Airlines has announced that is to add a third daily flight from London Stansted Airport in a bid to enhance the connecting services on offer to Aegean's 15 onward destinations in Greece.
The new service will begin on December 15th this year, leaving London at 15:50 BST and reaching Athens at 21:35 local time.
London Stansted Airport is situated approximately 30 miles north-east of London.
The hub is home to over 40 airlines and is the third busiest airport in the UK, with some 23.5 million passengers using it each year.
It is also the third largest airport serving the London area after Heathrow and Gatwick.
In related news, it was reported this week that complaints about noise pollution from London Stansted Airport have fallen as the hub tries to improve its environmental credentials.
