Liverpool Airport gains Italy, France flights
Thu, 04 Jun, 2009
Liverpool Airport has gained a number of new holiday destinations.
Budget carrier easyJet has launched the services, which go to Italy, France and Croatia.
The routes to Naples, Bordeaux and Dubrovnik began this week and use a new £20 million Airbus A320, the ninth plane to be based at the facility.
Carly Brear, UK commercial manager at the carrier, explained the trips were being introduced due to popular demand.
Deputy chief executive officer at Peel Airports Neil Pakey added the flights will build on the Liverpool transport centre's success.
"The new easyJet routes will give passengers even more destinations to choose from this summer, adding Croatia to the list of countries we now serve and expanding our list of destinations in France and Italy," he commented.
Other places the firm flies to from the north-west hub include Alicante, Barcelona, Lisbon and Madrid.
There are a range of airport parking options available at the Merseyside facility, including long and short-stay.
