Manchester Airport to host food conference

Fri, 12 Mar, 2010

Manchester Airport will host the first ever Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference and Awards from September 5th to 7th.

Held in conjunction with travel retail publication The Moodie Report, the convention will celebrate outstanding achievements in the field of travel-related food and drink.

The Moodie Report's founder and publisher Martin Moodie said: "The FAB awards will have total integrity and sound judging methodology in order to recognise best and most innovative practice."

Taking place at the airport's Concorde Conference Centre, experts in airport cuisine will speak at the conference over the course of three days and one airport will be awarded the prize of the world's best airport food and beverage offer.

Manchester Airport has also asked for photographs of life in Greater Manchester, which it intends to put on permanent display to welcome visitors to Terminal One.

The airport hopes the photographs will make a lasting impression on guests and has invited people to submit their photos for consideration. Successful entries will go on display in summer 2010.
