Heathrow Airport has signed up to become an official supporter of England's 2018 World Cup bid.
The airport will provide a range of special facilities for delegates from around the world as they arrive in London to commence the bid process.
A statement by the airport said it will also provide planning and operational support to the country's 2018 bid team.
In a press release regarding the bid, Heathrow claimed its connections to over 180 destinations will play a vital role in welcoming football fans from around the world, should the bid be successful.
During the latest World Cup, Heathrow was the only UK airport providing direct flights to South Africa and saw thousands of fans take advantage of the service.
Spokesman for the airport, Nick Cullen said: "We are delighted to be a part of the squad aiming to bring the World Cup to England in 2018."
Heathrow also took an interest in sport last month as it offered a free ping pong table in the departure lounge in an effort to promote British sport and culture.
