Edinburgh Airport unveils self-service car facilities

Edinburgh Airport has rolled out a new project, which gives passengers 24-hour access to a pay-by-the-hour self-service car facility.

After teaming up with self-drive company City Car Club, the airport has begun the process by installing two hybrid cars, available for passengers to book by the hour, day or as long as they would prefer.

Managing director at the airport Kevin Brown welcomed the new service and reiterated the airport's commitment to providing passengers with a range of travel choices.

"We are delighted to work with City Car Club offering our passengers more choice for their onward journey from Edinburgh Airport," he said.

Passengers can book in advance over the phone or by using the internet. Alternatively, they can simply sign up for a car at the airport itself.

Earlier in the month, Edinburgh Airport added Budapest flights, provided by Jet2.com, to its growing list of destinations. It also added direct services to Cologne, Paphos and Basel.
