Glasgow Airport receives SECC award

Tue, 30 Nov, 2010

Glasgow Airport has received an award recognising its work in promoting the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC).

As part of the SECC's 25th birthday celebrations, it issued Glasgow Airport with the prestigious Champion Award for its work in contributing to the venue's success.

Commercial Director at the hub Francois Bourienne expressed his delight at the decision and claimed Glasgow has welcomed many big names thanks to the SECC.

"Our close working relationship with the SECC has always strengthened our commitment to ensure visitors to Glasgow have a safe and pleasant experience," he said.

Mr Bourienne's sentiments were echoed by SECC director of sales Ben Goedegebuure, who claimed that the organisation will continue to work closely with Glasgow Airport to ensure visitors to the region have a memorable time.

Earlier in the month, budget airline easyJet celebrated its 15 year anniversary at Glasgow Airport and threw a party hosted by DJ Gavin Pearson, where passengers were treated to free drinks and cakes.
