Stansted Airport releases free iPhone app
Mon, 06 Dec, 2010
London's Stansted Airport has revealed a new free application for iPhone, which can provide passengers with a range of information and services.
Among its many functions, the app allows travellers to pre-book their car parking in advance and provides a range of downloadable vouchers for shops in the facility.
Similarly, a wide variety of travel advice and information will be displayed by the app, including live updates on flight departure and arrivals and a rail journey planner.
Development manager for the app Steve Mills claimed the software is among the most "feature rich" offerings on the market.
"It conveniently brings together live flight updates, lots of useful information about the terminal and a reliable guide to the range of options for getting to and from the airport," he said.
Earlier in the year, Belfast City Airport unveiled a similar iPhone application, which seeks to make the travel experience easier on holidaymakers.
