Thu, 16 Dec, 2010
Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport has revealed plans to double its flight capacity to Turkey.
Scheduled to begin in summer 2011, the new services will enable independent tour operator Holidays 4U to facilitate the journeys of 4,000 passengers to Dalaman.
Aviation sales director for Peel Airports Nick Smillie welcomed the initiative and revealed that early bookings for the extra flights are now being taken.
"It's fantastic news that double the number of holidaymakers from across the region and beyond can now travel to the prime location of Dalaman for the summer season," he said.
Similar comments were issued by Holidays 4U sales and marketing director Joe Lavers, who welcomed the opportunity to provide more choices for "affordable, yet inspired luxury" to its customers in the area
Last month, Robin Hood Airport revealed new seasonal services to Lapland, providing holidaymakers with the opportunity to celebrate the festive season on a three-night Arctic break.
