Bristol Airport predicts busy week
Tue, 21 Dec, 2010
Bristol Airport has predicted a busy week in the lead-up to Christmas.
The facility expects more than 90,000 passengers to pass through its gates from December 18th onwards.
In addition to the usual festive travellers who are visiting relatives overseas or heading away to escape the icy weather, Bristol Airport has also rolled out a range of new ski services.
New flights from easyJet to Lyon are just one of the latest winter routes to be unveiled by carriers at the facility.
Aviation director at Bristol Airport Shaun Browne warned passengers to set aside enough time to get to the terminal and check in.
"Although we will be making all efforts to provide a great start to passengers' festive breaks, check-in, security search and boarding can take time - particularly for families," he said.
Earlier in the month, Bristol Airport revealed new routes to Dublin from Aer Lingus and Aer Arann.
