Seasonal food on offer at Heathrow Airport

Wed, 22 Dec, 2010

A range of restaurants at London's Heathrow Airport are to serve up festive food over the Christmas period.

More than 20 eateries at the facility will be serving up seasonal dishes, a number of which have been specifically created for Heathrow Airport.

For instance, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food in Terminal 5 will be rolling out its turkey pie with chestnut crumble and brussel sprouts, whereas Huxleys will break out the mulled wine and mince pies.

Head of food and beverages at Heathrow Airport Chris Annetts claimed that the festive treats are the perfect way for travellers to get into the Christmas spirit.

"With nearly half a million people travelling through Heathrow between Sunday December 19th and Friday December 24th we want to make everyone's Christmas travels as enjoyable and memorable as possible," he said.

Earlier today (Wednesday December 22nd) Heathrow Airport revealed that it would be operating a reduced flight schedule due to cold weather disruption.
