Edinburgh Airport named top for customer service

Edinburgh Airport has been named as one of the top five facilities in Europe in terms of customer service.
As part of the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards, the hub was hailed for its consumer support alongside Malta, Porto, Zurich and Copenhagen.
A range of measures are examined by the ASQ's Passenger Survey and this is matched with an analysis of real time data to provide a benchmark for the industry.
Commenting on the announcement, managing director of Edinburgh Airport Kevin Brown expressed his delight.
"I'm proud of the way that my team met these challenges head on whilst maintaining focus on the needs of our passengers. Our drive is to provide a diverse choice of routes with excellent facilities," he said.
Edinburgh Airport recently announced that budget airline Jet2.com would be running a new route from Scotland to Malaga for summer 2011.
This move was met with approval from Mr Brown, who welcomed the additional service.
