British Airways

Seating

Infants can sit on an adult's lap with an extension seat belt. Carrycots and infant seats are provided for babies up to 2 years old, weighing under 12.5 kg (27.5 lbs). If an infant turns 2 during the journey, a seat must be booked for subsequent flights at no extra charge.

Baggage

Infants have a free checked baggage allowance of one 23 kg bag in all cabins. Two items such as a pushchair, car seat, travel cot, or baby back carrier can be checked in free of charge.

EasyJet

Seating

Infants (from 15 days to 2 years old) can sit on an adult's lap. Car seats can be brought on board if a separate seat is booked for the infant.

Baggage

Infants with reserved seats have the same luggage allowance as adults, plus an additional baby changing bag. Two items such as a pushchair, travel cot, or car seat can be taken free of charge.

FlyBe

Seating

Infants are carried at 12% of the adult fare when not occupying a seat.

Baggage

Passengers can carry two pieces of equipment such as a pushchair, travel cot, and/or car seat free of charge, with a combined weight of up to 23 kg.

Ryanair

Seating

Infants aged 8 days to 23 months must sit on an adult's lap. A charge of £25 per infant per one-way flight is applied. A separate seat can be reserved for infants using an approved car seat.

Baggage

No checked or cabin baggage allowance for infants on lap. One pushchair per child and up to two items like a car seat or travel cot can be checked free of charge. Additional items incur a fee.

Thomson (TUI)

Seating

Children up to 2 years old must travel on the accompanying adult's lap with a lap-strap safety belt. If there is an empty seat, the infant may sit in it during the flight. Each adult can only accompany one infant.

Baggage

Infants have an individual luggage allowance of 10 kg. Folding pushchairs and wheelchairs do not count as part of your baggage allowance and are carried free of charge when traveling on TUI's in-house airline.

Virgin Atlantic

Seating

Children up to two years old are not required to have their own seat and must travel on the lap of an accompanying adult. Only one lap child is allowed per adult. If one adult is traveling with more than one infant under two years of age, a seat must be purchased for each additional infant. Infants can also have a seat purchased for them if equipped with the proper child restraint device.

Baggage

Infants not occupying their own seat are entitled to both hand and checked baggage allowances. Hand baggage is limited to 1 piece with a maximum weight of 6 kg and a maximum size of 23 x 36 x 56 cm. Checked baggage allowances vary depending on the fare, but typically 1 piece up to 23 kg is allowed. Additionally, passengers traveling with infants can bring a fully collapsible pushchair and car seat, which will be stored in the aircraft hold.
