We (Purple Parking) will protect your privacy and any information we collect such as, your name, address, phone number, email address, credit/debit card details. On this page we will detail how and why we collect your data and what we do with it. Your data will not be used for anything other than what is detailed here and we will advise you if that changes.
We will use your personal data for the following reasons:
To fulfil a contract
Purple Parking will use your contact details (name, address, email address, phone number) when generating quotes for you. If you go ahead with a booking with us we will need this information to contact you about; sending an email or postal confirmation for example. We will need to share this information with our suppliers.
Your payment information will be used to take payments for bookings or issue any refunds. These details will be kept in a secure, tokenised form which cannot be reused.
Purple Parking may be contractually obliged to share a portion of your booking information with our partners; this will not include any personal information. This will depend on how you reached our site, if you were directed to our site by a partner we will share your booking with them for their reference.
We will keep your contact history so that we can provide you with the best possible customer service and support when you contact us.
To achieve legitimate interests for Purple Parking
Your contact details will be used for customer research purposes; this will allow us to learn more about you and provide more relevant ads and banners. We may request feedback from you which we will use to improve our products. If you have previously booked with us we may contact you with information about relevant products, unless you have requested that we don’t. If you navigate away from a payment or booking page we may email you to help you carry on with the booking. We may create an account for you to help manage your information.
Your payment information can be stored in a secure, tokenised form on your online account.
We will use information such as your IP address and the device you use in order to support you with any enquiries and protect our site.
Your previous booking information may be analysed to learn more about our most popular products.
Contact history will be used to improve our customer service; recording calls for training purposes, for example. To comply with legal requirements or regulations
Your contact details and booking information will be used to defend and legal claims.
With your consent
Your contact details and contact history may be used to contact you by post, text message or email with regards to our products or special offers. We may invite you to focus groups or research days, or sign you up to competitions or surveys.
If you “like” or “follow” any of our social media accounts you can learn about our products, services and any special offers.
Parental consent will be required before we can collect any information from anyone under the age of 16 and we will never knowingly do so without parental consent.
Certain decisions may be made automatically as we process your personal data.
We’ll use your data to confirm your identity - if it is not consistent with previous bookings or it appears that you are intentionally hiding your true identity from us then we will not allow you to book with us.
Sharing your information
We will only ever use or share your personal data for the reasons it was collected in the first place. Relevant data will be shared with the suppliers of the product or products you have booked. As an example, if you have booked a car park we will need to share your name and car registration with that car park. We will never share any more information than is strictly necessary.
Your data may be shared where you have agreed for us to do so; in order to respond to a request from you; if we have your consent for marketing purposes; or if it is required by law.
We work with a number of partners who provide bookings using our websites and as such it’s possible that you were directed to our site by one of these partners - this could be a tour operator, comparison site or similar - in which case we may share your booking information with them.
Some of the relevant products we offer for your trip may be from one or more of our partners. If you book any of these products then the relevant partner will collect the necessary personal data and their policy will apply to you. If you are still a Purple Parking customer while making a booking with one of our partners then your booking information with them will be shared with us; this helps us to manage our partnerships.
There are other reasons for us sharing your information, such as needing to text you about your booking we will have to share your number with the service provider. We will ensure they delete your number after.
Protecting your data
Purple Parking takes all necessary measures to keep your personal data safe against loss, destruction, or unauthorised or unlawful use. When your information is collected online it is transmitted to us using secure, high-grade encryption.
We are approved by the PCIDSS (the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This ensures that all of your card details are protected to the highest standard.
Before sharing your information with any other companies we will make sure that the appropriate measures are in place to protect your data.
Your personal data will be held on our systems on our premises, or the premises of an appointed third party. Third parties may be allowed access to your information if they are acting on your behalf for any reason we’ve discussed in this policy or anything that has been approved by you.
How long do we keep your information for?
If you have an account with us your information will remain on our system for as long as you hold that account. We’ll need your data if you have an upcoming booking so that we can continue providing service and support should you require it.
Purple Parking will normally keep your data for 7 years after your most recent booking with us. Due to legal, business or regulatory requirements we may need to keep your data for longer.
If you haven’t used any of our services for which you registered in a long period of time we may contact you to ask if you are happy for us to continue communications with you, or delete your personal data.
If your personal data is deleted in can remain archived for regulatory, legal or tax reasons.
They allow us to provide you with customised and relevant content as well as making it easier for you to fill out forms on our site.
Cookies can also help us to improve our marketing by controlling the number of times you see ads and making sure you are seeing more relevant products.
With cookies we can analyse how the site is performing, understand how you use it and from which devices.

Purple Parking functionality cookies - Used to store information of your previous interactions on our site, these cookies improve your experience by remembering your preferences. These cookies can be disabled through your browser.
Purple Parking performance cookies - These cookies collect anonymous information of site users in order to test new ideas and improve the user experience.
YouTube functionality cookies - Our products may feature video content, YouTube cookies will remember your interactions with a video - if you pause the video you can continue from where you stopped.
We will use advertising and marketing cookies from the following companies:
Google services (Google Analytics, Optimise, Tag Manager, AdWords) – Google cookies look at behaviour and interaction from users, their advertising cookies can be used for remarketing and will provide you with personalised ads. Google cookies will never store any of your personal information and can be disabled from Google Ads Settings Settings.
Microsoft – Microsoft may use web beacons and cookies from third party service providers as well as first party cookies in order to provide advertising. You can disable these from the Microsoft opt-out page page.
Facebook – These cookies are used for gathering insights and personalising ads based on your interactions. You can adjust your ad preferences from Facebook settings.

Your Personal Data Rights
It is your right to see any personal information that we hold about you. This information will usually be provided free of charge but there may be a fee to cover our costs if the request is extensive.
To request this information please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “My data request” and include the following information:
- your full name; a description of the information that you are requesting (such as parking booking), including a date range; all of your email addresses (past and present) used to book with Purple Parking; and
- attach to the email a copy of a current photo ID (e.g. passport photo page).
We will aim to complete your request within one month of the date we receive all of the required information from you. We will always endeavour to finish your request quicker but cannot guarantee it.
If we hold any information about you which is incorrect, you are entitled to update it. This is easily done via your account or the “manage booking” links that can be found in your email confirmations.
There are certain circumstances where you are entitled to ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. If you have an account which you would like closed and deleted, please reads our FAQs or contact us.
You may be entitled to ask us to move, copy or transfer your personal information under certain circumstances.
In certain circumstances you will be entitled to request that we restrict our processing of your personal information. If you believe that the personal information we hold for you is incorrect you can ask us to stop processing it.
You are entitled to object to Purple Parking processing your personal information under certain circumstances, e.g. you can ask us to remove you from our members club and to stop receiving special offers by email. You can always update any communication preferences directly from your online account or you’ll find “unsubscribe” links at the bottom of all our marketing emails.
