East Midlands Airport has one main terminal, which makes planning your trip through the terminal very easy.
Currently there is no map available of East Midlands Airport.
It is recommended you arrive at the airport at least two hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. However, check-in opening times may vary depending on your destination and airline. Please check your flight ticket or with your airline.
Baby-changing facilities are available throughout the terminal alongside the public toilet facilities.
It is not a problem to keep your pushchair with you as you travel through the terminal. However, please be ready to remove your baby for a few minutes while the pushchair is screened when clearing security. East Midlands Airport has a designated lane for families travelling with pushchairs for your convenience.
It is now possible to take more than the standard 100ml of baby milk and food through security, provided that the milk is for the sole purpose of your journey. A Superdrug is located in the departure lounge where it is possible to restock on baby essentials. Superdrug also run a pre-order service, meaning you can collect your food, milk and nappies immediately after clearing security. Simply call Superdrug on 01332 811 629 seven days before you travel.
A fun, soft children’s play area is available on the first floor food-court area after security. It is ideal for keeping your children entertained while enjoying some food and refuelling before your flight. This area is suitable for children up to eight years old.
The main information desk is prominently located in the main terminal building. You can also contact them by phone by calling 0871 919 9000.
If you are looking for some aviation inspired gifts, why not pop into The Aviation Gift Centre which is located before security, alongside WHSmith and Boots. After security, there is everything to meet your travel needs from Dixons Travel for technology, World Duty Free for tax-free luxuries and a WHSmith Books to pick up that last-minute holiday read.
Food & drink
East Midlands Airport has an excellent range of food and drink outlets. Dining options include Leon (before security), Frankie & Benny’s (after security) and Castle Rock Tap Room & Kitchen (after security). Quick snack options include Burger King and GrabandFly (both located after security). And if it’s coffee you are after, branches of the newly-opened Flat White Coffee Club are available both before and after security.
The Escape Lounge at East Midlands Airport allows you to do just that – escape the crowds. In this calming and comfortable environment, you can enjoy complimentary freshly-prepared food, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and snacks, all while taking advantage of free WiFi and an extensive range of newspapers and magazines.
Entry to the lounge costs £18.99 per adult. You can book into the Escape Lounge on East Midland Airport’s website.

A premium internet connection is available should you wish to access the internet for longer or stream content. The premium service is charged at £5 for 1 hour, £10 for one day and £30 for one month.
If you require special assistance when travelling through the airport, this should be arranged directly with your airline, tour operator or travel agent at least 48 hours in advance of your departure. Please make them aware of your requirements.
The Passenger Services Helpdesk is located within the main terminal and can be contacted on 01332 818 426. If you wish to borrow a wheelchair while travelling through the airport, please enquire at the Passenger Services desk. Wheelchairs are provided free of charge but are subject to availability.
