Terminal layout

Edinburgh Airport Terminal operates out of one single terminal.

Terminal map

You can download a PDF map of the Edinburgh Airport before security here or view the after security map here.

Check-in

All check-in and bag drop desks, as well as airline desks, are located on the ground floor of the main terminal building. Find your check-in desk by looking up your flight number on the flight information boards close to all main entrances. The majority of flights will be open to check-in from two hours before the scheduled flights, though this may vary slightly depending on airline.

Leisure and family facilities

Baby changing

There are baby changing facilities at Edinburgh Airport both before and after security. Before security, find them in UK arrivals behind Costa Coffee, or on the first floor near WH Smith. After security they are near Gate 11 only and for arriving passengers there are some located in the International baggage reclaim hall.

Baby milk

If you are travelling with small children you are permitted to take liquid baby milk, baby food and sterilised water on your flight, all of which are not currently subject to the 100ml limitations (any other liquids are). All liquids are still subject to screening and must be presented along with other liquids at security.

There is also the option to pre-order baby products through Boots, and collect airside, from the Boots in the departure lounge. These orders would need to be placed at least 2 weeks prior to travelling. You can contact the Boots store on 0131 335 0422 with your request.

Play areas

There are three soft play areas for children which make travelling with small children a lot easier. You'll find them in the main departure lounge opposite The Liquorice Tree, opposite Gate 2 and in the south-east pier beside Gate 15.

Eating

The majority of the food outlets are family-friendly and provide high chairs and children's menus. The Gathering offer one free children's meal for each full paying adult.
