The car park did not recognise my ticket when leaving and would not let me out.

Although we booked in advance my car mincer plate was not recognised at the barrier. This did cause us a bit of anxiety on our return as we were asked to pay on inserting the ticket on the way. It was quickly resolved by the operator.

We had trouble getting out of the parking area. The machine demanded extra payment. I pressed the problem button and they took rather a long time to respond which created a queue, but eventually let us out.

Looked for Purple Parking signs to parking area (pre-booked) at Southampton Airport. None found. Using post code appearing on Booking Documents the Sat Nav repeatedly tried to take me into the Short Term Car Park. Eventually found Long Term Car Park but car number was NOT recognised at entrance; barrier dd not rise andI had to take a ticket to get it to do so. Expressed my concern to bus driver who explained that the was no 'Purple Parking'; it is now 'Holiday Extras'. On my return two days later had to contact Emergency to explain situation and be able to leave car park without paying again.

The parking was fine, when we came to the barrier to leave it said we owed £63.50, even though we had pre-paid a couple of weeks ago. The man on the intercom said he needed the booking reference which I had to reverse and get out off the boot! I would have thought the car reg. would have been enough! Not good enough really.
